My story in this anthology is titled "Racing the Marineris." It is a retelling of "The Tortoise and the Hare" in the form of an overland match race set on Mars. Will the brother-and-sister team in a racecar nicknamed "The Tortoise" somehow overcome the billionaire and his AI-piloted racecar nicknamed "The Hare?" And how far will they push the limits of the rules and their safety to win the $200 million prize?
The book is published by the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and goes on sale September 1, 2022.
