The new Calendar of Fools anthology, Intergalactic Rejects, is now on sale at your favorite online bookstore. The theme of this anthology was to find the best science fiction and fantasy stories that have been rejected by numerous markets. Authors were asked to submit the stories they loved the best that met this criterion. We received stories from over 1400 authors, which required a monumental effort to give each story a read by at least two readers before deciding which stories should be considered by the anthology's editor, Storm Humbert. Storm had the unenviable task of deciding on the best stories in the final list that should finally be pulled from the pit of rejection and given their chance to shine.
The result is this group of twenty stories, with stories by well-known anchor authors including Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame member Samuel R. Delaney, Nebula and Hugo Award winner Robert J. Sawyer, best-selling author team Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, and World Fantasy Award winner Gregory Norman Bossert, with a Foreword by Clarkesworld editor and publisher Neil Clarke and an essay by the SFWA Grand Master Robert Silverberg.
