Third Flatiron Publishing has released their latest anthology called SciFi To Go: Food For Thought. This book contains my new story, "A Just Dessert," a mystery thriller set in a future where everyone has immunopod implants using nanotechnology to safeguard their health. Of course, every technology has individuals who would subvert it for their own purposes.
The story stars Nina Chu, an up-and-coming chef whose sister was brutally murdered. The police suspect a prominent restauranteur, Kenny Kim, of the crime, but they don't have the evidence needed to convict him. When Kim invites Nina to his restaurant to discuss a "business opportunity," Nina knows it could be her only chance to collect the evidence they need—and she would be risking her life to get it.
Third Flatiron published two of my earliest short stories. I am pleased to be accepted again for publication in their series of science fiction anthologies.
